Electrodialysis can be used to remove salts from intermediate reaction products to allow easy cleanup of the desired product. It can also be used for salt removal from washing solution to recover the salt and to reduce fresh water consumption. Another application scenario comprises cases with a diluted acid stream to be neutralised before discharge. Electrodialysis might be an option to recover this acid fraction from the process stream and reconcentrate it to relevant levels. Products
